Fitout of existing office floor into new laser clay pigeon shooting venue in the heart of London. This was our 2nd Clays site and had a tight delivery timeline as the client wanted to be open in time for Christmas.
THE BRIEF
Transform the previous ground floor office space into a new Clays F&B venue.
THE CHALLENGE
This was a difficult site that required raised flooring, pumped drainage, and challenging access routes through Landlord spaces for services as the rest of the building is, in effect, a bank. We also had a challenging budget and an even more challenging timeline.
THE SOLUTION
To push the timeline we negotiated the project with a trusted principal contractor and, to help keep costs to a minimum, engaged the MEP contractor and directed on behalf of the client along with various other direct contractors and suppliers. We built a relationship with the Landlord and Canary Wharf Management to ease the access issues experienced throughout the project to give the project the best chance to succeed.
THE RESULT
We hit the budget almost exactly against our pre-contract estimate from which the budget was set. We also completed the fit-out for the client, Clays, to host an important investor demo night, which was a great success. They were able to open the venue pre-Christmas.
